Most amazing two days with religious leaders from Ukraine

There are days when I thank God profusely for the work I do for the many blessings it gives me.

Yesterday and today I spent time with a delegation of religious leaders from Ukraine, brought to Canada by the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter.  Yesterday the representatives of Christian, Jewish and Muslim religions visited Parliament Hill, sat in for Question Period and watched as the House of Commons unanimously passed a motion praising Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky, the leader of the largest faith group in Ukraine, who sheltered Jews during the Nazi occupation of World War II.

Sheptytsky has been the focal point for the religious leaders who have formed a Council that the chief rabbi of Kiev says is the most powerful NGO in the country.

Today, at the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Christian Studies, I attended a symposium on the great religious leader and heard several talks, among them one by His Beatitude Sviastoslav Shevchuk, Sheptytsky’s who now fills the leadership role Sheptytsky held as primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholics.   It was wonderful to meet him.

Wnderful! His Beatitude Sviatoslav is the youngest to date major archbishop of the Ukrainian Church.

Not related, but does anyone know where I could find preferably for free) the score of “little” Pelham Humfrey’s Communion Service? It’s delightful and very baroque, yet singable by a congregation…
If someone wants to send a scan of it to me: spasblag@rambler.ru
