One of my favorite stories on Sensus Fidei (or fidelium—would some Latin expert tell me which one is right?)

Msgr. Robert Mercer, our beloved former Anglican Catholic Church of Canada bishop, reportedly told this story during a visit to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith about Anglican Catholic sensus fidei.

He was visiting the home of a charwoman and her television was on as he sat down in her sitting room.  An Anglican bishop came on the screen who was touting some kind of novelty—can’t remember what it was, but it might have been something like the denial of the physical Resurrection of our Lord.

“I’ll not have that man in my house!” the charwoman said, and clicked off the television set.
