Top inspiring quotes from Pope Francis

As the second anniversary of Pope Francis election passed on Mar. 13,  Salt and Light TV’s blog posted a list of their 10 Favorite Francis Quotes from the past year.

I thought, hmmm, that’s a good exercise.  While I don’t have a set of favorite Francis quotes at my fingertips, I know that if I went through his homilies at Casa Santa Marta or Angelus addresses, or Evangelii Gaudium I could quickly find 10, no problem.

For example, from this homily at Casa Santa Marta Mar. 12 there is this:

We follow our will, but doing so our heart hardens and becomes of stone. And the Word of the Lord cannot penetrate. Thus the people get more and more distant. This is also the risk in our personal histories. Now, on this day of lent, we must ask ourselves: ‘do I listen to the voice of the Lord or do I do what I please?’”.

In the Spirit of Philippians 4:8– “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”–How about posting a quote from Pope Francis from the past two years that has appealed to you?
